SOUTH BRUCE, ON – At its meeting on December 12, 2023, South Bruce Council passed a motion approving an amendment to the Multi-Year Funding Agreement (MYFA) with the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO).
The MYFA was initially approved by Council in June 2020 in By-Law #2020-53. Since then, the agreement has been updated multiple times. This is the sixth amendment to the MYFA which will incorporate the work plan and budget for 2024.

Since 2012, the Municipality of South Bruce has been learning more about Canada’s plan for the long-term management of used nuclear fuel, which is the responsibility of the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO).
