Property Taxes

The Municipality of South Bruce is responsible for billing and collecting property taxes for the municipality and on behalf of the County and school boards.

We issue two tax bills each year – an interim bill and a final bill. The exact due dates for your property tax payments will vary each year and will be indicated on your tax bill.

Your interim tax bill payments are due:

  •  Last Wednesday of March
  •  Last Wednesday of May

Your final tax bill payments are due:

  • Last Wednesday of August
  • Last Wednesday of October

To avoid late penalties or interest charges, we need to receive your property tax payment on or before the due date.

Penalties are applied on the first day after your property tax payment is due and again on the first day of each month until we receive the payment. The penalty is 1.25% per month up to a maximum of 15% per year. Our staff cannot waive late penalties for property tax payments.

To request a tax adjustment section 357/358 form, please contact us.
