The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) provides property assessments for the Municipality of South Bruce. We use the assessed value of your property to calculate your property taxes

Certificates

You can request a property tax certificate in the Municipality of South Bruce.

The tax certificate fee is $50 per roll number or $75 per roll number for response within 48 hours. To request a tax certificate, please submit a written request by email, mail or drop off to the Municipal Office. Mail or drop off payment to the Municipal Office:

The zoning and compliance certificate fee is $80 or $100 for response within 48 hours.  To find out how your property is Zoned, view the Zoning By-law. Please submit your zoning and compliance certificate request in writing by email, mail or drop off to the Municipal Office:

Request a Reassessment

You can request a reconsideration on your property assessment if you believe that there was an error with the assessment. Contact MPAC to learn how to request a reassessment.

School Support

You can choose which school board you want to support with your property taxes in the Municipality of South Bruce. An application must be made to the Municipal Property Assessment MPAC Corporation to include or revise school support on the assessment roll.  

The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) has updated the Application for Direction of School Support (ADSS) form on the Changing Your School Support page on mpac.ca. The improvements of the new ADSS form includes:

  • The removal of the School Lease requirement replaced with an Attestation of Unit Support
  • A simplification and clarification of various fields in the form including the different school boards
  • Directing users to mpac.ca for the online portal
  • MPAC contact information, if required for assistance
