SOUTH BRUCE, ON – The Community Liaison Committee heard from a Western University researcher about experiments she and a team of experts have been conducting related to the rate of corrosion of the used nuclear fuel containers designed for the proposed deep geological repository (DGR). The purpose of the work is to expose the containers to a highly corrosive environment to determine the rate of corrosion in extreme conditions.

Formosa Country Christmas is an annual demonstration of dazzling displays and decorations in the hamlet organized by a dedicated group of volunteers. The event began as an initiative of the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority and has since transitioned to a volunteer community committee responsible for organizing the event with assistance from the Formosa Lions and many other community groups.
