Employment Programs for People Under 30- The government of Ontario website provides resources to assist people under the age of 30 find employment. The website offers resources for students, entrepreneurs and other useful youth resources to find or create fulfilling employment. Programs found through the page includes:
Employment Ontario - Helps job seekers, workers and employers with advice, grants and other services around public and private sector employment.
Youth Employment and Skills Strategy - The Youth Employment and Skills Strategy (YESS) is the Government of Canada's commitment to help young people, particularly those facing barriers to employment, get the information and gain the skills, work experience and abilities they need to make a successful transition into the labour market.
VPI Employment Program - As a service provider for the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development (MLTSD), they facilitate several Employment Ontario programs to help job seekers find work and training opportunities across Ontario. They also work directly with employers who are looking to hire. These programs and services are free for job seekers and employers as they are funded by the government of Ontario and, in part, by the Government of Canada.
Government of Canada Job Bank - Job Bank is Canada’s national employment service, available as a website and mobile app. They help Canadians find work and plan their careers, and they make it easier for employers to recruit and hire across the country. They're constantly monitoring the labour market, collecting and analyzing the latest information on employment trends and opportunities all over Canada.
Catapult Grey Bruce - They propel opportunities at home by empowering entrepreneurs at any stage of their journey with connections, knowledge and space to take their business to the next level. Our business coaches and mentors are successful local entrepreneurs with industry expertise to start, grow and scale startups.
Southwestern Ontario Angel Group - Angel Investors are high net-worth, accredited investors who, typically, have acquired wealth from decades of business success. They use a portion of their investment portfolios to provide emerging companies with seed and start-up capital through direct, private investments. Most angels are active investors – they mentor the companies in which they invest by contributing time and experience, as well as offering introductions to valuable contacts – because they enjoy helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses.
Get Help from a Counsellor - Workers and job seekers can make a free appointment to speak with an employment counsellor to help you develop career goals, prepare for interviews or start a job.
Start Your Own Summer Company - Learning how to run your own student business is one of the best summer jobs you can have. You get to be your own boss while learning what it takes to manage a business. Sales, marketing, invoicing, bookkeeping, customer relationship management - these are just a few of the highly useful skills you will develop. Summer Company is an Ontario government program that provides young people with the resources and knowledge they need to start a new summer business.
Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP) - As the country’s largest employer, the Government of Canada is proud to hire thousands of students every year to support delivering services to Canadians. There is a wide variety of jobs from coast to coast, in diverse fields, such as administration, agriculture, communications, enforcement, finance, IT, policy, and many more. Students work in offices and laboratories, on ships and farms, at historical sites and national parks, among many other locations, in more than 300 cities and towns across Canada.
Canada Summer Jobs - Government of Canada - Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) provides wage subsidies to employers from not-for-profit organizations, the public sector, and private sector organizations with 50 or fewer full-time employees, to create quality summer work experiences for young people aged 15 to 30 years.

The Youth Engagement Strategy (appendices) recognizes youth as the leaders of the future and acknowledges how critical it is that their voices are reflected in plans, initiatives and decisions that will directly affect them. The Strategy also seeks to empower youth and support them in the community.
