Skating

The Municipality of South Bruce offers a variety of skating opportunities for you, your family, and friends to enjoy. We offer public skating, adult and tot programs, organized hockey, and figure skating at both the Teeswater Culross Community Centre and Mildmay Carrick Recreation Complex.

2024/2025 Public Ice Schedule

The 2024/2025 Public Ice Schedule begins Tuesday October 15th 2024. Please use the drop down menu below to find more information about the skating programs the Municipality of South Bruce offers.

Please note the following cancellations to the Public Ice Schedule:

Public Skating on Thursday November 28th at the Mildmay Carrick Recreation Complex has been rescheduled to Tuesday November 26th from 4:30-6:00pm due to a private rental.

Friday January 17th - Shinny Hockey at the MCRC
Saturday January 18th- Public Skating at the MCRC
Wednesday January 29th- Shinny Hockey at the MCRC
Thursday January 30th- Adult Skating and Public Skating at the MCRC
Friday January 31st, 2025- PA Day Skating at the MCRC and TCCC

The Public Ice Schedule will end March 16th, 2025 at the TCCC and March 27th, 2025 at the MCRC.

Public Skating

Our indoor arenas offer a great place for you, friends, and family to go public skating. There are dressing rooms available for you to tie skates. For an enjoyable safe and fun skate, our rules include:

All participants must wear CSA approved helmets (recommended)
No sticks, chairs, strollers, or sleds are permitted on the ice
Learn-to-skate aids are allowed but must be CSA approved
Adults should wear skates, ice cleats or clean outdoor footwear (CSA approved helmets are recommended)

Drop In Fee $3.00 per skater
10 Skate Punch Card $20.00
Punch Cards are available for purchase at the Mildmay Carrick Recreation Complex, Teeswater Culross Community Centre, or the Municipal Administration Office in Teeswater

MCRC Thursdays 4:30-5:20PM & Saturdays 7:00-7:50PM

TCCC Sundays 1:00-2:20PM

School Breaks

The Municipality of South Bruce will be offering Public Skates from 1:00-3:20pm on the following days:

PA Days: October 25, 2025 & November 22, 2025
March Break: March 10-March 14, 2025

Fun Skates!
Themed skates will be held at the Teeswater Culross Community will be held on the Second Sunday of the month during the Public Skate. Themed skates at the Mildmay Carrick Recreation Complex will be held on the last Saturday of every month, with the exception of the month of March.

Shinny Hockey

The Municipality of South Bruce offers an informal game of pick-up hockey for various age groups. For a fun and safe game, please follow the rules below:

Hockey

We are proudly home to the South Bruce Blades hockey team with the South Bruce Minor Hockey Organization. To learn about our organized hockey leagues and how to register, contact our Recreation Department.

Belmore Skating Club

The Belmore Skating Club's offers a skating program for local children that is fun and encourages learning. We are looking forward to the upcoming season and we welcome everyone to join us. To register, email us or visit the Belmore Skating Club Facebook page.

Private Ice Rentals

Learn how you can book a private ice rental at one of our ice rinks in South Bruce. Private ice rentals are available at the Mildmay Carrick Recreation Complex and the Teeswater Culross Community Centre. Contact the
