Asset Management Plan

Our Asset Management Plan allows us to forecast and schedule our rehabilitation and reconstruction activities. We have nine infrastructure categories that are addressed in the Plan. These categories are:

• Bridges and culverts
• Buildings
• Land improvements
• Machinery and equipment
• Road network
• Sanitary
• Storm
• Vehicles
• Water

Our Asset Management Plan helps us to:

• Produce a more accurate capital budget each year
• Monitor current levels of service, life cycle trends, and deterioration models
• Plan and develop a detailed five-year capital budget
• Prepare a long range capital budget
• Protect the Municipality’s infrastructure investments

South Bruce Strategic Asset Management Policy is designed to provide leadership in and commitment to the development and implementation of the Municipality’s Asset Management program.

Economic Development Strategy Update

Our Economic Development Strategy Update was developed to lay the foundations for future growth and establish the necessary directions and actions to achieve success. The objective was to identify the most feasible, and suitable opportunities to stimulate increased growth and development in the Municipality of South Bruce.

Recreation Master Plan

The Municipality of South Bruce had a Recreation Master Plan completed by Tract Consulting in 2022. It provides a review of current recreational facilities and services, and identifies community needs as well as a vision for recreation and facilities into the future. The Plan also provides strategies and actions to meet these needs as the community grows.

Water and Sanitary Financial Plan

Our Water and Sanitary Financial Plan is a rate study that establishes a uniform fee for the Municipality’s water and sanitary services.  This plan is produced by the Public Sector Digest in accordance with the Ontario Regulation 453/07.
