The South Bruce Community Liaison Committee (CLC) is composed of citizens from a broad cross-section of our community who are interested in learning about Canada’s plan for the long-term management of used nuclear fuel.
We are working to provide information for, and gather feedback from, the community to help make an informed decision about the Municipality of South Bruce’s participation in the site selection process. The full mandate can be found in the Terms of Reference.
Members of the CLC are volunteers who applied to join the committee through a written essay and interview. Committee members were chosen because they have a passion for our community and believe that we will only be able to make an informed decision if we have access to all of the facts available.
Meet our committee members (listed alphabetically by last name):
An application and interview process is used to select the citizen committee members.
As in the past several years, the Municipality of South Bruce is pleased to offer the Early Investments in Education and Skills (EIES) program, which is available to schools, businesses, community groups, organizations, and individuals. This funding program is made possible by the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO).
The NWMO established the EIES program to support training and education for community members, including youth, to help them gain transferable skills and contribute to the well-being and capacity of the community. These transferable skills may help support the possible implementation of the NWMO Project, but would also apply to a range of projects and careers.
The EIES program is administered through the CLC.
Applications for EIES funding can now be done using an online form below. You may wish to review the Program Parameters prior to completing an application.
