SOUTH BRUCE, ON – Nearly 70 South Bruce youth received a Welcome Home Student Care Packages this week from the Municipality.
Following the positive reception of the Student Care Packages delivered last year during exam season, the Municipality decided to organize a similar initiative again. This was a way to recognize the efforts of local students pursuing an education in college, university or through an apprenticeship, and to demonstrate support and encouragement for the community’s next generation.
The Care Packages included a number of locally produced and sold items, including from Dawn & Gray Scented Co., Gay Lea Country Store, Essentially Lavender, The Healing Arc Golden Orchard, Mildmay Chamber of Commerce, Voisin’s Maple Products, Mildmay Cheese Haus, Harleys Pub & Perk, as well as resources generously provided by the Canadian Mental Health Association Grey Bruce.
“Hopefully this small token will make you feel welcomed back home in South Bruce,” said Mayor Robert Buckle, in a letter enclosed with each care package.
“With the commitment and dedication that you have, I am optimistic that the future of our community is promising,” he added.
The Municipality of South Bruce congratulates all students for their dedication and hard work in pursuing their goals.
