NOTICE OF ELECTION INFORMATION

Municipal Elections Act, 1996 (s.40)

Municipal Elections in the MUNICIPALITY OF SOUTH BRUCE will be held on the 24^th day of October, 2022 for the offices of:

South Bruce Council:

• MAYOR – One (1) elected At-Large
• COUNCILLORS TWO (2) elected At-Large
• COUNCILLORS TWO (2) Teeswater-Culross Ward

School Board Trustees:

ONE (1) SCHOOL BOARD TRUSTEE for EACH of the following School Boards:

•  Bluewater District School Board (English Public) to represent the Municipalities of South Bruce and Brockton
• Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board (English Separate) to represent the Municipality of South Bruce
• Conseil Scolaire Catholique Providence (French Separate) to represent the Geographic Area # 1, being the Counties of Bruce, Grey, Huron, Lambton and Perth
• Conseil Scolaire Viamonde (French Public) to represent Sector 5, being the Counties of Bruce, Dufferin, Grey and Simcoe

 Acclamations:

• COUNCILLORS TWO (2) Mildmay Carrick Ward

      Voting will begin on October 17, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. and end on October 24^th at 8:00 p.m.

The Municipality of South Bruce has adopted alternative voting methods, and eligible Electors can vote by Internet or Telephone voting. Information will be shared on the Municipal website at www.southbruce.ca. Eligible Electors who are on the Voters List will be mailed a Voter Information Letter further explaining how and when to vote.

      Voter Assistance Centers

Two (2) Voter Assistance Centers will be available to electors who require assistance or access to internet voting:

• Council Chambers, Municipal Office, 21 Gordon Street East, Teeswater, Ontario
  • Wednesday, October 19, 2022 – 9:00am-4:30pm
  • Thursday October 20, 2022 – 9:00am-4:30pm
  • Friday October 21, 2022 - 9:00am-4:30pm
  • Saturday October 22, 2022– 12:00pm-4:00pm
  • Monday, October 24, 2022 – 9:00am-8:00pm
• Mildmay-Carrick Station Fire Hall, 9 Absalom Street East, Mildmay, Ontario
  
  • Monday, October 17, 2022 – 10:00am-4:30pm
  • Tuesday, October 18, 2022 – 9:00am-4:30pm
  • Wednesday, October 19, 2022 – 9:00am-4:30pm
  • Sunday, October 23, 2022 - 12:00pm-4:00pm
  • Monday, October 24, 2022 - 9:00am-8:00pm
