Recreation Department Looking for Volunteers!

The Recreation Department is looking for volunteers! We are currently looking to recruit volunteers for multiple programs. Before and After Snack Preparation

Do you love to cook or bake? This may be the perfect opportunity for you. Our Before and After School Program is looking for some help in the kitchen preparing the daily snacks! Snacks will be prepared at the Teeswater Culross Community Center.

Time Commitment

• Flexible start/end times
• Mondays or Tuesdays
• Approximately 2-5 hours per week

Qualifications

• Food Safety Handling Certificate

Leaders in Training

The following programs are looking for volunteers interested in helping with daily operations such as but not limited to leading crafts, serving snacks, or running games!

Gymnastics (Mildmay Carrick Recreation Complex)

Time Commitment

• Mondays
• 4 hours
• 5:00pm-9:00pm

Qualifications

• Vulnerable Sector Check (for individuals over the age of 18)
• Previous experience in participating in, assisting or leading gymnastics programs

Before and After School Program (Sacred Heart School, Teeswater)

Time Commitment

• 3-15 hours per week, 6:30am-9:00am and/or 3:15pm-6:00pm.
• Start times can be flexible
• Monday-Friday

Qualifications

• Vulnerable Sector Check (for individuals over the age of 18)
• High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development (asset)
• Experience working with children of all abilities

PA Day Camps (Various community centers)

• 8 hours per day, 8:30am-4:30pm
• Operates on PA Days
